Meaningful encounters: October 2024

Our inaugural event, held on October 20, 2024, brought together more than 50 attendees for a profound spiritual experience. Dr. Jackie Bailey, a distinguished author, pastoral care facilitator, and interfaith minister, shared inspiring insights. Following her talk, Sr. Jan Barnett, a revered Josephite nun known for her dedication to social justice, led a deeply moving reflection session. This gathering set the tone for the spiritual journey we continue to share.

On 4 May, 2025, Michelle led us through a period of reflection. Linda from our Community, introduced the group to haiku. Haiku is a powerful tool for women to reclaim their voices through its unique blend of brevity, imagery and emotional resonance.

August 2025: The Way of the Sacred Heart

Anne Gray is the Australian Coordinator of the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network in Australia. On 24 August 2024, she led the group in an afternoon of quiet reflection on the renewed devotion to the Sacred Heart (which stems from Pope Francis' last encyclical 'dilexit nos').

The Group explored using art as a way of prayer.
